There seems to be growing dissension in the ranks. Since all the National Guard seems to have been sent overseas, who's guarding this country? Not to worry--I'm sure we can hire some Mexicans to do it.

Ironclad ship to bring segregation back to Tuscaloosa?!

Now we all know politicians are generally stupid, but when they actually open their mouths and prove it, it's still hard to believe the staggering depths of that stupidity. According to a demented Tuscaloosa city councilman, George Wallace is going to rise from the grave, steam a Confederate ironclad up the Black Warrior river, and reimpose segregation in Tuscaloosa. Lord, have mercy!

Cheap government crap

I hardly think that the innovative entrepreneurs who are pioneering private spaceflight would want or accept a cheesy government pin to celebrate their accomplishment, which the government tried to hinder with its various and sundry flight regulations. Note that there is already a government office dedicated to regulating the commercial use of space, as if space itself belongs to the government.

Astonishing lies

“I think that it [the PATRIOT Act] is one of the most pro-civil libertarian pieces of legislation that has come out of Congress in the last decade or so..."

This is one of the most astonishingly bald-faced lies I have heard in some time. I guess Hitler was right--the bigger the lie, the more likely it will be believed.
